Something cool to share though. I was in a music video with my roller derby league.
Joanie Rollmoan is friends with Kelley Deal and they put us in their music video.
The video was cool to be a part of. How many people can say that they were in a music video for the Breeders?
Leaving for Chicago on Friday to watch the Windy City Rollers play our All Star Travel Team on Saturday. Derby News Network is going to be there boutcasting that shit. I am going to starfuck all over the place!

Who needs sleep?
I am feeling a bit lost at the moment. I think my life has become a giant transition. I have been told that I am a wild card. I think that the reason is because I have no idea what I want. The one thing I know I want and makes me happy is roller derby. There is no question there. I wish everything else was just as easy. I was unhappy with my chosen degree, so I have discontinued my education (for now). I am in the process of finding a career that will hopefully point me in the right direction and help me figure out what I really want to do. N worries here though. I know that I will find what I am looking for, I just need to figure out what THAT is. I am not afraid. I was born for this.
On lighter news, The Arch Rival Roller Girls are kicking off their 4th season with the Masquerade Brawl! The M80s vs. Smashinistas!
I have been so busy lately with derby. We starred in the Breeder's video "Fate to Fatal". That was awesome. 7 hours of skating.... I was soooo tired. I went on STLTV with Joanie Rollmoan. I think that will air in April at some point. Our season kick-off party was a hit! The Mayor came! I then proceeded to get sick after all of this. My body needed some rest, so I didn't leave the house for like 3 days.
I know that this blog is all over the place. I am just to tired to care. I will make sense of everything, don't you worry your pretty little head. I will pull everything together and figure out what I truly want. I will then post it for all my non-existent readers. Good times...
BTW: Racer McChaseHer humped my leg while in Detroit. AMAZING!

Something...FINALLY.
Not that things haven't been happening. I have just neglected my blog. I know I suck. I have a life outside of the internet. Hardly.
Our season kickoff party is Friday the 13th. Most fun you will ever have. EVER.
I will be in Detroit this weekend. Our All Star Travel Team is playing the Detroit Derby Girls. I can't wait to meet Racer McChaser! I have been accused of being a starfucker. It is soooo true.
Here is our season schedule. Our season starts February 21st and my first game is March 28th. HOLY SHIT!

What I have not said...
So, many things that I had previously said would happen, happened. THE END.
I kidd, I kidd. My derby name has been approved. My alias is Smarty McFly and my # is 1.21 Gigawatts! My tag line is "Let's see if you bastards can do 90!". It is my homage to the awesomeness that is Back to the Future. For short please refer to me as 'McFly'. I have learned that people start calling me 'Smarty' and then when I do something stupid I get the awesome response of, "not so Smarty now, are you Smarty?" Good times.
Also, The draft happened on October 16th as I aforementioned and I got drafted! I am now a Stunt Devil! I truly truly wanted to be a Stunt and now I am. Also, I look fucking hot in purple! We (the Arch Rival Roller Girls) are currently on a break for the season, but the 2009 season starts back up on February 21st, 2009. I have a lot of training and preparation ahead of me to get track ready by then. It is competitive, I tell you. I need to be able to hang with the big girls, a lot of them have been skating for 3 years. It is tough, but I am up for the task and I am a huge dork!
I went on a 2 hour trail skate with some ladies on my team this morning and I swear to god they are machines. I wish the weather would have held out one more weekend because now that it is ass cold, being outside can suck me. I am so profound with my language, I swear. Genius.
Other than derby my life is kind of stuck in a rut. I need to figure out where I am going a bit. I do not want to go into much detail about it. Just take my word for it and when I figure shit out I will let you know. Don't get me wrong, things are good. Just need some work is all.
Halloween came and went. I went to Off Broadway with some derby ladies. We worked the Alice in Wonderland group costume. It was sweet.
I will have to say that I did not wear the wig, the wig wore me. Frightening. Also, our Cheshire cat was not in the photo. Or was she? The girl in pink was not a character, she was just a pirate hooker and a teammate. For what it is worth, it was my best Halloween ever. Sad reason for this being, is that I did not grow up celebrating Halloween. Awwwww, tear for me.
All this typing and I am tuckered out. I will try to update more frequently, but we all know that is an empty promise. We shall see. I have a soccer game at 11:10 p.m. tonight, so I should rest my little typing fingers and legs. G'night.

poor dead things.
Today wasn't exceptionally extraordinary. I worked all though there was no schedule letting me know that I was working. Therefore I was an hour and a half late. I have been late to my last 3 shifts. Not good, but mostly it has been out of my control. Sunday I was late because of the awesome flash flooding from Hurricane Ike passing through. Highway 70 was flooded. It was crazy! I love unpredictable weather except for when it destroys my things and tries to kill me. Other than that it is fair game! Sorry if it destroys your things or tries to kill you....
I was leaving work and saw this today

I put in the request for my Derby name. It is still a surprise! Until it is official I shall not reveal it. Also, I scrimmaged for the first time with the veteran skaters tonight! And the travel team no less! It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I am sure next time will be scarier. Our next bout is on my birthday, do come!
I will not be skating in the bout, but I will be skating in the slow-mo derby demo. Come and partake in my first event on skates. My parents will be there and you should too! Yay for my birthday and yay for roller derby!
I have 4 tests in the next week. No bueno. School is back in session. That is all I have to say about that.
I am going to start corresponding with my brother via snail mail. He will be in prison for the next 6 years of his life. I don't know what to say about it. My family is totally fucked up about it. I feel for my baby brother, but I also know that he made choices in his life that lent himself to that. I got new stationary to start this awkward pen pal participation. Still, I really don't know what to say about it.
Grovefest is this weekend and I am volunteering with the Zombie Squad and I will probably dress up as a zombie roller girl. Should be fun. Here is the link: http://www.grovefest.org/

Long time---no bloggie
News, news, plenty of news. Where to start?
My endeavor into roller derby has been a challenge and a blast. I have worked myself up through the ranks in the past 3 months and have now been cleared to scrimmage with the veteran skaters! I will be temping with the undefeated M80s! All of the teams are really awesome. I hopefully will get a chance to temp with the Stunt Devils as well. I have thrown myself head first into derby and luckily I have a helmet. I think that I was born to do this. I have always been a bit to handsy with people and now I get to use that to my advantage! I have some awesome dates coming up and I will enlighten you:
13 September 2008--Clash of the Titans ARRG All Stars vs. NWARG Killbillies @ America Sports Mall.
23 September 2008--I get to turn in and register my derby name. (I will not tell you what it is until I know for certain that I have it) It will be a surprise!!!
11 October 2008--My birthday and the ARRG Championship bout M80s vs. Stunt Devils @ America Sports Mall
16 October 2008-- Bout Test (Decides whether I get drafted our not)
18 October 2008-- Draft Party (I will find out if I got drafted and what team I would be on)
I can't wait!!!!! I am sort of nervous..... and EXCITED!
What else? I started back to school. boo! Finally bought a new computer. yay! It will arrive in a couple weeks. boo! My house is getting a face lift in a couple of weeks, new siding thanks to insurance. yay! We are going to be spending a ridiculous amounts of money over the next couple of months. boo! Ira Glass is going to be at the Pageant 27 September 2008. yay!. Kind of expensive though. $35. boo! I will still probably pay it though. yay! Stars is at the Pageant 25 September 2008, only $15. yay! Probably can't go. boo!
